Bottom Loading Arm
Bottom Loading Arm
By 2024, many tanker operations in Scotland will be at ground level as recommended by the Scottish Whisky Association. This movement towards bottom loading is not restricted to Scotland however; it is global due to the perception that bottom loading is generally safer as there is no need for the operator to be on top of the tanker. However, depending on the nature of the liquid, there may still be a need to vent from the top so safe tanker access systems will still be required in that case.
